Dear Parents,
I am excited to announce that Middleton Middle School's Washington DC & New York trip is scheduled for June 12-17, 2017. Through this trip students learn about history and government first hand. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will inspire your child to think about the future, pursue goals, and create lifelong memories.
This is a trip that your child will be talking about for years to come!
On this educational adventure, students will explore some of America’s most dynamic cities and experience incomparable learning moments like:
- Seeing the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Top of the Rock and Times Square
- Visiting the 9/11 National Memorial at the World Trade Center site, dedicated to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001
- Attending a Yankee’s baseball game and a broadway performance
- Finding inspiration from the heroes honored at D.C.’s war memorials and Arlington National Cemetery
- Being taken back in time to President Washington’s home and plantation at Mount Vernon.
If you are interested in learning more, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, April 11, 2016, at 6:30 pm in the MMS Library.
You may also contact Mrs. Watkins for any additional questions or pick up a registration packet in the main office.
