Remember, next week is our school wide assembly. The assembly will be this Friday, the 4th. Congratulations on earning all those VIKES tickets!
Also, next Friday is our school wide spirit day! So wear your school spirit gear and be prepared to support your grade team during the assembly!
Exciting news for middle school students. Ultimate Frisbee is the fastest growing sport in the world and will be featured in the 2024 Olympics. What if one of you or your classmates were on this team? Never hurts to dream big and work hard in and off the field. With this said, we are having our first ever ultimate frisbee team. Games will start on Feb. 29th and will run for 7 Mondays in a row - not too bad of an intro for the first time. Sign up sheets are in the office. Sign up sooner than later, first team meeting next week. Cheers.
Listen up all you 8th grade cheerleaders. High School Cheer tryouts will be March 14-17. On the 7th, there is a parent meeting at 7:00pm at the MHS lecture hall. Tryout preps will be Saturday, March 12th from 9:00-11:30 at the Mill Creek Gym.
Tennis begins MONDAY, March 7th on the tennis courts (next to the Fine Arts Building)...weather permitting.
Bring your racket and the proper clothes to play tennis in.
The last day to buy a yearbook is March 11th. Yearbooks are $20 and you can pay Mrs. VanMaanen in the counseling office. Don't miss out on getting your yearbook!
Now for your VIKES sports update. Last night boys basketball played against West.
The 8th grade A team won 50-32 and B team won 40-12.
