These are your school announcements for March 29, 2016.

We hope everyone had a great spring break.

Students,
Do you like to sing? Are you a dancer? Maybe you can juggle, do stunts or are a magician. Whatever your amazing talent, we want you to try-out for the MMS Talent Show. Talent Show try-outs will begin April 1st after school. Start practicing!! Talent Show try-out sign ups are by the Choir room door. Drop by to sign-up!!

Remember ISATS have started...Eat a good breakfast, get plenty of rest, don’t stress and try your best.

Welcome Back - and an Important Notice - 

ISATS start this week and students will need to bring their own headphones / earbuds for testing.  Be sure to bring a pair from home to have available for testing sessions.

These are your school announcements for March 15, 2016.

This week's kindness challenge is: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
This month Kindness quote is: Never look down on someone unless you’re helping them up.

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council presents:  Last Man Standing Dodgeball tournament tonight  March 15 here at MMS. You can sign up the family, it’s a community event.

Listen up all you 8th grade cheerleaders. High School Cheer tryouts will be March 14-17. On the 7th, there is a parent meeting at 7:00pm at the MHS lecture hall. Tryout preps will be Saturday, March 12th from 9:00-11:30 at the Mill Creek Gym.

Attention dancers: Blue Legacy Dance tryouts are April 4-8. You must be in grades 8-11. If you are interested you can pick up an “Okay to Play” sheet from Mr. Reynolds at the High School office

The last day to buy a yearbook is March 11th. Yearbooks are $20 and you can pay Mrs. VanMaanen in the counseling office. Don't miss out on getting your yearbook!

Remember, tomorrow is our school wide assembly. It is also our school wide spirit day! So wear your school spirit gear and be prepared to support your grade team during the assembly! Congratulations on earning all those VIKES tickets!

VIKES store will be open tomorrow, Friday the 4th. Remember to bring your victory tickets to lunch.

For all you Valhalla kids, remember that today is the party so make sure you come!

Tennis begins MONDAY, March 7th on the tennis courts (next to the Fine Arts Building)...weather permitting. Bring your racket and the proper clothes to play tennis in.

The last day to buy a yearbook is March 11th. Yearbooks are $20 and you can pay Mrs. VanMaanen in the counseling office. Don't miss out on getting your yearbook!

Now for your VIKES sports update. Last night boys basketball played against Vallivue.
The 8th grade A team won 40-28 and B team won 42-21.
7th grade A team won 44-37 and B team lost 32-27. Good job VIKES!

Remember, next week is our school wide assembly. The assembly will be this Friday, the 4th. Congratulations on earning all those VIKES tickets!

Exciting news for middle school students.  Ultimate Frisbee is the fastest growing sport in the world and will be featured in the 2024 Olympics.  What if one of you or your classmates were on this team?  Never hurts to dream big and work hard in and off the field.  With this said, we are having our first ever ultimate frisbee team.  Games will start on Feb. 29th and will run for 7 Mondays in a row - not too bad of an intro for the first time.  Sign up sheets are in the office.  Sign up sooner than later, first team meeting next week.  Cheers.
