Band and Choir Concerts

MMS Band Concert will be Wednesday, December 18 at 7 pm in the Middleton High School Auditorium.

MMS Choir Concert will be Thursday, December 19th at 7 pm in the Middleton High School Auditorium.

Parents - buses are late this morning due to the weather - school start will be delayed by at least an hour for students arriving by bus. Please be patient as the bus fleet gets moving.

Immunization Updates Availalble - December 10

Dear Parents

As of 2012, the State of Idaho requires all students entering 7th grade to have additional immunizations-Tdap (tetanus booster) and MCV (meningococcal vaccine which prevents bacterial meningitis).  Since many of our students have not had the opportunity to have these done,  Southwest District Health Dept. has offered to come to Middleton Middle School and provide a "shot clinic".  This is not only for 7th graders but for those 8th graders that need updates, or 6th graders who want to have their 7th grade shots now instead of this summer.  They will not be giving flu shots. 

All parent/guardians in the Skyward accounts were emailed this information today.  A permission slip and information letter from Southwest District Health was attached to that email.  We look forward to seeing you!

Clinic Date and Time:  Tuesday  December 10  from 1:00 – 4:00 pm 

If you did not receive an email today regarding the Shot Clinic, please call the Middle School office at 585-3251 to update/verify your email address.

Report Cards

1st Trimester report cards have been posted to Skyward.  Look under "Report Cards" on the left hand side of the screen.  You should find a printable pdf of your student's report card. there.

The Trimester ends next week - this is a critical time for students to get any missing assignments turned in.

Welcome to the MMS Counseling Blog!  Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Barnes plan to use this page for communication with MMS students, parents and staff.

8th graders have started the process for planning for high school.  Many have met once already  with Mrs. Barnes to set up a portfolio in the Idaho Career Information system.  Soon, all with have completed that step and then will begin working on 4 Year plans for high school.  It is important to remember that this process is ongoing and the 4 Year Plan is under revision yearly.  The plan is just a "start" in middle school. The portfolios 8th graders are starting now will be transferred to the high school next year.  More info on the 4 Year Plan will posted later.
