These are your school announcements for February 27, 2015.

First, let’s all give a cheer to our band vikes!  Mr. Allsberry led them in an amazing concert last night.  We hope you didn’t miss it.
The basketball tournament takes place next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  We will give you up-to-date information on our Monday Vikes news show.
Pick up a registration form to enter the 5K - Run for Fun in the office.  The race will be held on Saturday, April 11th.  
Why have your photos scattered everywhere when you can find all the memories of the 2014-2015 school year in one place?  Give your $20 into the counselor’s office by next Friday.   

I’ve been seeing a lot tennis rackets around the buildings.  That means tennis is getting ready to start.

Are you interested in becoming a Leadership student next school year? If you are going to be a 7th or 8th grade student next year, now is the time to apply! You can pick up your application in the counseling office. The deadline to turn in your application is Tuesday, March 10th.

Today is the last regular boys’ basketball game. The 8th grade boys will leave for Vallivue Middle School at 3:00, and the 7th grade games start here at 4:00.

Yearbook Orders

We have 8 school days left to place your order, so please remind your students to come in and PAY for a yearbook if they want one. If their name is highlighted in yellow on the list in the hall- they have NOT ordered one, they just looked at it online.  Yearbooks are $20.00 and can be ordered in the Counseling Office through March 6.

These are your school announcements for February 23, 2015.

It is the final week for Boys’ Basketball.  Today, Our Vikes play West Middle School.  The 7th grade boys will leave at 3:00, and the 8th grade games will be played here.        

The final games will be on Wednesday against Vallivue Middle School.  Go Vikes!

Get ready for Thursday night.  The MMS band has a band concert at MHS.  It will start at 7:00.

March 6th is quickly approaching, and it is the deadline for purchasing your yearbook.  What is a yearbook you ask?  Well, we have the perfect definition for you.  It is a compact and convenient book filled with memories that you can have forever.  ~~~~~Only $20 for memories.  Not bad!

These are your school announcements for February 20, 2015.  

Congratulations to the the Ski and Snowboard team!  They received 3rd place at the Dotty Clark Race.  What a great way to end the season!      

The 8th Grade A team gave a total team effort with 9 Vikes scoring points.  We ended up defeating Lonestar 55-38.

B team also put forth a good effort with a final score of Lonestar 32 and the Vikes with 19.  Get ready for next week’s games. It is the last week of the season.  

Don’t forget to get in some tennis practice this weekend before it rains again.

These are your school announcements for February 18, 2015.  

We are doing the video announcements today in the library with Ms. Baird’s reading class.  

Here are results of Tuesday’s games:  Both 8th grade teams won against Mountain Home!  A team defeated them 49-37, and B team kicked with a final score of 32 to 26. 

Our next game is against the LoneStar Longhorns on Thursday.  The 8th grade teams will leave at 3:00, and the games for the 7th grade will start at 4:00.

Don't forget to get your yearbook - time is running out! Deadline is March 6.

The Ski and Snowboard team received 6th place out of over 20 teams.  Get to the mountain as much as you can before spring.    

Tomorrow is our popcorn plaza!  Come and support our school.  Please take your popcorn outside to eat it.   

We all want to be as good a tennis player as Serena Williams, so get out those rackets and prepare for March 9th  

Yikes, are some of our 8th graders almost ready to drive?  If they are old enough, this might be of interest -

If you are interested in taking Drivers Ed we have spots available for a summer session starting June 22 – July 20.  You must be 14 ½ to purchase the permit from the DMV.  The cost is ($140.00) $70 will hold your spot and the other $70 is due at the time of the class.  Please see Janice in the HS office to sign up.  

These are your school announcements for February 13, 2015.  

The 8th grade basketball teams defeated Sage Valley.  B Team beat the diamondbacks 35 to 31, while the A team won 49 to 46 in overtime.

The 7th grade teams also defeated Sage Valley in both Games.  The  A team won 46 to 12, and the B team won with a score of 35 to 15.  

Speaking of sports, The LAST race for the Ski and Snowboarding Team is tomorrow.  Get a good night’s rest and be ready for the bus to leave promptly at 8:00.   

2015 Spring Soccer registration information is available in the office.  The deadline for registering is February 13.

Today is the day for our Valentine Celebration.  It lasts from 3:30 to 5:30. It is free if you have a sticker on your activity card.  If you don’t have 1, the cost is $1.  See us soon in the cafeteria for games, music, dancing, and food.    

All you need is $20 to get this year’s amazing yearbook.  Make sure you have turned in your money by March 6th.

The weather outside is great, so grab your tennis racket and practice your swing.  The MMS Tennis team will start forming soon.

Valentines Celebration Friday 2-13 from 3;30 - 5:00. Games, music and dancing. Free with Activity Card or $1.00 to get in. Everyone will get 4 tickets for the game booths and can purchase more for 4/.50 cents.

The 8th grade basketball teams played 2 tough games against Kuna on Monday.  But now, we are ready to play Sage Valley today.  The 7th grade boys leave at 3:15 this afternoon, and the 8th grade boys’ games will start here at 4:00.

Congratulations to our Academic team.  They took 2nd place last night at the meet!

Mr. Bergstrom wants to make our Valentine celebration  a success, so he has put up a song request sheet outside of Room 105.  Songs must be school and dance appropriate. Not all songs can or will be played and absolutely NO requests for songs can be taken during the dance. All requests must be in by tomorrow at the latest.

Rock on!  The celebration is from 3:30 to 5:30 this Friday.  We have games, food, and dancing!

We have more basketball games scheduled for today.  
The 8th grade boys will be playing here against Kuna Middle School starting at 4:00.
The 7th grade boys will leave for Kuna at 2:50. Good luck to all our players!

Mrs. Brock let us know that the 8th grade basketball team did very well against East Valley.  The B team won 28-22, and the A team lost in a close game of 39 to 46. Keep up the good work!

8th Graders::::  You do not belong in any of the halls at lunch.  If you need to to go to the office, use the door by Annex B.  Also, you need to have a library pass in order to come to the library at noon.

Tonight are tryouts for Idaho Inferno Girls Club Basketball at Middleton High School at 6:00.

Lost and found is out of control! There are large piles in the main lunch room, front foyer of Annex A and in both gym's. Make sure you go and check it out if you are missing a shirt, jacket or shoe. It will be donated SOON!!!!!

Announcement Highlights

Come and celebrate Valentine’s Day with us... there will be food, fun booths, music, and dancing.  It will on Friday the 13th after school from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.
