These are your announcements for Dec.15,  2015.

during lunch to buy a cup of cocoa. it's just $1.00. cosmic You might also want to pick up a cosmic brownies or zebra cake for just $.50!! All money goes to support the Canned Food Drive for the Middleton Food Bank.

We would like to invite you to the MMS Christmas Band concert this Wednesday at 7:00 at the HS Auditorium.

Congratulations to MMS on placing second in the Middleton Holiday Parade.

It's that time of year again, what time? Academic Bowl time! Come be part of the MMS Academic Bowl team. Show off your Jeopardy and Trivia Crack skills. Stop by Ms. Wheaton's room to pick-up your permission form.
Academic Bowl practice will begin Monday, January 4th. Practices will be every Monday after school until 4 pm. We have a competition once a month.

Remember this Friday is ugly christmas sweater competition.  Competition will be during your 1st period class.

Ok all you ski & snowboarders, we are no longer accepting applications for our race team.  Looks like it's going to be a great year with almost 30 racers. Keep an ear open for updated information.

It is time to get ready for the MMS Christmas Book Fair. It will be in the MMS Library until the 14th.  For every $10 you spend, you will have your name placed in a drawing for a free poster.

Attention, Attention all 8th period classes the annual MMS canned food drive will go until Dec. 15. It will be a competition between all 8th period classes, the winning class for each grade will receive donuts.  We will be raising money and canned food donations for the Middleton Food Bank. So let’s get creative and show the food bank how awesome MMS VIKES are!

The new program is called AHA- Athletes helping Athletes. There will be  parent and student volunteers available to help with math.  Also if you excel at math and would like to volunteer, plan to attend Wed. study hall.

Red Ribbon Week Announcements:

Valhalla is now accepting more students so if you are interested you can pick up an application from the office. The schedule this month includes:  cooking, model rocketry, "mad science", guitar lessons, art lessons, crafting, team building,  theater, sports. :) the service club  is putting together kits for homeless shelters, and we have a special guest here to tell us more about it.

If you would like to request a song for the dance this Friday there is sign up sheet outside of Mr. Bergstrom's room in Annex B.
Songs MUST be school and dance appropriate.
Requests must be in no later than Thursday October 29th and will be reviewed.
Absolutely NO REQUESTS can be made during the dance!

Coming up this Friday is the Fall Festival right after school from 3:30-5:30.  So save the date..and be ready to come have some good times with your friends. There will be food, games, music and dancing! The cost is 1$ if you don’t have an ASB sticker on your activity card. Games will be 25 cents. There will also be food and drinks to purchase.

If you would like to request a song for the dance next Friday there is sign up sheet outside of Mr. Bergstrom's room in Annex B.
Songs MUST be school and dance appropriate.

WILL be selected from each grade FOR CREATING A POSTER.
This prize is donuts so Don’t skip this contest.
Turn your poster into your 1st period teacher by Monday the 26th of October. The Winners will be announced Tuesday Morning with prizes delivered 8th period. Winning Posters will be hung on
school walls for remainder of week. So get your poster before Monday, October 26.

MMS Leadership entered the Coleman homes scarecrow contest. Please go to the sales center in West Highland neighborhood by the high school to vote for our scarecrow. You can vote until Friday Oct. 23 at 7 pm.

Club pictures for the yearbook will be taken Thursday, October 22. This includes choir, band, orchestra, office and counselor aides, leadership, mentors, etc.  If you are a 7th grade mentor, you need to wear a navy blue shirt. If you are a 8th grade mentor you need to wear a white shirt. Again, pictures will be Thursday, October 22. If you have any questions please as Ms. Baird or Ms. Maude.

8th grade vb took 3rd in their tournament, and 7th grade took 2nd in their tournaments. Way to go Lady Vikes

8th grade final football game tonight at 6:30 at the high school. So make sure you come and show your support!

These are your announcements for October 8, 2015.

How would you and your friends like to checkout Red Rock National Conservation Area, Hike The Narrows in Zion National Park, Float the Colorado River, Traverse the South Kaibab Trail in the Grand Canyon, or shoot down nature made slides in Slide Rock State Park?
These are just a few of the activities planned for our MMS Grand Canyon Adventure. Our trip will take us to Utah, Nevada, and Arizona over the course of five busy days next summer.

For parents and students who missed the first informational meeting a second meeting has been scheduled on Tuesday October 13, 2015 in the Middleton Middle School Library at 6:00pm.
Let your parents know about this meeting as the deadline to sign up for the trip is fast approaching!

Please invite your parents and friends to come join us as we discuss the exciting details of our trip, answer questions, and start making plans for fundraising! There are already students who have signed up for the trip and we want as many as possible to join them?

Girls Basketball tryouts start Monday after school. 7th grade tryouts are in the main gym and 8th grade tryouts are in the auxiliary gym.

We would like to congratulate our Cross Country team on a great season:
Our JV girls ended the season in first place.
JV boys ended in 4th place.
Varsity girls finished in 3rd place.
Varsity boys finished in 5th place.
